Reporting into the Sales Director, the Senior Sales Executive will be responsible for maximizing all potential revenue to achieve/exceed targets on their designated events. They will be responsible for selling stands to leading premium brands and artisan producers on multiple events, while supporting clients with efficient and professional customer care. The right candidate will have a proven track record in selling in a fast-paced and targeted environment, while being creative and enjoy generating new business. A proactive approach to understanding the markets within which we operate, the trends and players, and applying that knowledge in a sales environment is central to the role. They should be a team player who is also self-sufficient, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a ‘can do’ attitude. A strong customer care ethic and excellent account management skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximize all potential revenue to achieve/exceed event targets

  • Generate and maintain new business across a number of varied industry sectors

  • Achieve and maintain high sales activity and traction

  • Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, act independently

  • Proactively lead sourcing that develops and maintains a managed database including record of key contacts and sales communication

  • Ability to translate visitor marketing strategies and plans into vendor sales benefits

  • Execute and see through consistent sales plan and well thought out sales communication schedule

  • Work closely with members of the team to develop ideas and approaches

  • Contribute ideas to develop the event

  • Create and maintain a vendor care program to maintain strong relationships

  • Ensure re-booking process is implemented to achieve required targets

  • Represent the company and event at networking and trade events

  • Retain integrity of events by adhering to established level of quality

  • Report on sales activity and sales results on demand

  • Communicate site plan updates to operations team in a timely manner

·       Should be prepared to work occasional weekends and long hours during event seasons

  • Should be prepared to travel occasionally for events

Knowledge and Experience
